A fake link was created in the name of JSC “Azerbaijan Demir Yollari” (ADY) for fraudulent purposes.
Oku.Az informs that in the link created a gift contest is being held to obtain the “ADY Card” that gives citizens the opportunity to travel for free for 12 months.
Get your “ADY Kart” transportation card today by clicking the link! The transport company calls for a new competition. We will introduce 500 new transport cards for residents of Baku and surrounding regions. With “ADY Kart” you will get free trips on public transport for 12 months without additional payment or additional costs. To improve your customer experience, we ask you to take a short survey and answer three questions. After receiving a response, you will be able to purchase a transportation card”, a page with the text opens.
After answering the questions, the next page opens, which includes the selection stage with gift boxes. Here everyone has 3 chances: “According to our observations, we can say that after the second attempt, everyone is already a candidate to win the ‘ADY Card’.”
After winning, the page that opens to obtain the card is blocked by the antivirus program installed on the computer, calling it “Possible phishing attempt.”
In response to our query on the issue, ADY said that the link created in the name of the institution is false and the facts mentioned do not reflect the truth:
“We urge citizens to check information on the official ADY social media account and the ady.az website. If they need to clarify any issues, residents can contact the “1822” call center 24 hours a day and clarify any information.”
