“Climate change affects Uganda”.
This Oku.AzIn his statement, the director of corporate affairs of the Uganda Communications Commission, who attended the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku Fred Otunnu saying.
He said that Uganda is one of the developing countries:
“No doubt, as in other developing countries, climate change does not go unnoticed here. Climate change causes natural phenomena such as floods, landslides, etc. In our country we apply adaptation measures accordingly.
For example, we require information and communication technology (ICT) companies to adopt green technologies in energy consumption, to adopt solar energy as a means to reduce energy consumption.”
Fred Otunnu recalled that Baku will host the World Telecommunication Development Conference and stressed that he will return to Azerbaijan.
