Free buses and metro in Valencia this Sunday, September 22 for Car-Free Day

The City Hall is planning several initiatives within the framework of the European Green Capital

European Mobility Week ends this Sunday, September 22with the celebration of Car-Free Day, an initiative aimed at raising awareness among citizens of the benefits, both for public health and the environment, of using non-polluting modes of transport such as cycling or walking. And as part of this day, the Viveros road safety education circuit will host, from 11:00 to 14:00, a children’s bicycle gymkhana in which the reasons why Valencia has received the distinction of European Green Capital.

All day Sunday, September 22, the EMT bus network will be free to encourage citizens to leave their cars at home. There will also be no need to pay at Metrovalencia.

Minors who participate in this gymkhana will have to collect different words hidden at different points of the aforementioned circuit and order them correctly to form sentences that will talk about the qualities and benefits of Valence that justify the distinction of European Green Capital. During the visit you will also find different posters that will highlight the reasons why Valencia has received this recognition.

The celebration of Sustainable Mobility Week received this year the support of Valencia Green Capitalwhich has allowed us to expand the number and impact of these activities present in all districts of the city.
