French authorities force Durov’s brother and Telegram vice president to come to Paris

French authorities have asked Nikolai Durov, brother of Telegram founder Pavel Durov, and Ilya Perekopsky, vice president of the messenger, to come to Paris to cooperate with the investigation.

Oku.Az “Shot” reports on this with reference to the “Telegram” channel.

Your cooperation with the investigation can speed up the resolution of the situation concerning the founder of Telegram. Without the interrogation of Nikolai Durov and Perekopsky and their statements, the investigation into the founder of Telegram will drag on for at least a year.

Moreover, this cooperation will soften the sentence against Pavel Durov, reduce his supervision and allow him to travel to other EU countries. But this cooperation could also lead to the imprisonment of Durov’s brother and the courier’s vice president.

It should be recalled that Durov was arrested in Paris on 24 August, where he arrived on a private jet. The businessman was taken into custody and released on bail of five million euros.
