Everything in the world of appearances is an illusion, a dream.
The real success is the cheers you hear after the lights go out.
An aphorism from an anonymous author
We live in the world of appearances, in the true sense of the word. But we don’t notice it. As if everything was meant to be. However, until very recently, the world was no such world. It has never been like this.
It was the globalization of Americanism. With the rise of social media, it has taken over the entire world. Nothing will ever be the same…
In previous times, the criteria of truth were different. Nowadays it is enough to be popular. A simple example: in the past, doctors did not go on air. However, today, doctors consider appearing on television and actively using social media as part of their work. A good doctor is a popular doctor. With this rule, doctors withdraw from their patients the money they spend on television and social networks. We see doctors every day, all the time, on all television channels.
Of course, from the point of view of spiritual and moral principles, it is problematic to turn health care and education into objects of commerce and marketing. Because the doctor’s job is not to make a lot of money, but to treat as many people as possible, bring them back to life and ensure that they live healthy lives. In modern times, all these criteria are forgotten.
The disease of popularity also threatens art. Banal songs and pubs are heard millions of times. Sometimes people object when I talk about this topic. It’s not about being heard by millions. Yes, it goes without saying that those who listen to these types of songs are people of low taste and educational level. This is another problem. Our problem is trying to turn any song into a work of art just because it has been heard so many times. The criterion of art cannot be consumption. Art has its own criteria. There are thousands of examples of this in art history. There are hundreds of works that became famous after his death and acquired their true value. That’s not the point. The thing is, popularity doesn’t make art. Or let’s say: But popularity does not make art. Also, you can’t become a doctor by being popular. A good doctor may or may not be popular. What makes you a good doctor is your knowledge, skills and competence, not just appearing on air every day…
Sometimes television stations broadcast common programs based on ratings. The scheme we mentioned is also working here. A popular program does not mean a good program.
The situation is the same in all areas. The sports field is the same. Why did Chagayev become famous? This person may or may not be a good coach. I don’t have the authority or ability to evaluate it. However, it is his performances on “TikTok” that make him famous. It is a well-known fact that these speeches and games do not express their true capacity.
See the Dubai Chocolate Storm? Did we know that this chocolate is literally delicious? Of course not… Experts say this storm will be short-lived. But nobody cares about that. Something else will come out tomorrow. It will be famous, Dubai chocolate will be forgotten. In the middle, there will be those who pay between 50 and 60 manats for a normal chocolate. Why do people eat this chocolate? Is this chocolate, the “discovery” of a pregnant woman, really delicious? Let the diners answer this. There is only one small truth that we all know. He is the presence of this storm. Everyone eats it. It’s good for everyone to eat it. So, let’s get started. We ate, we didn’t like it, it’s okay. Let the enemy see us in trade. And so life goes on…
