Gamarra accuses them of being “afraid” and Montero insists there will be PGE

Clash during the government control session between the PP Secretary General, Cuca Gamarra, and the First Vice President and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero. The “popular” attacks the executive after withdrawing from Congress the vote scheduled for Thursday on the path to stability, the first step for the 2025 budgets.

“There is only one thing worse than losing a vote, and that is to withdraw initiatives, to be afraid,” Gamarra criticized the Executive’s decision, precipitated by not having the support of the Junts. “This is a paralyzed government without direction,” Gamarra said, recalling the votes lost by the coalition government.

In his response, Montero defended that the Government has managed to approve all the laws it has presented, 17, and that the person incapable of governing is the PP. Thus, he spoke of a “small” opposition that “harms the social majority of the country, uses hoaxes and denunciations of extreme right-wing organizations out of desperation for not having a project.”

Then, in response to the spokesperson and deputy secretary of Culture of the PP, Borja Sémper, the socialist assured that the Government would present new General Budgets to Congress and recalled that it is possible to govern without them. “Or else, ask Mrs. Ayuso, who spent four years with a budget, or Mr. Mañueco, who spent five years with a budget.”
