“Singular problems linked to mass migrations” in working-class neighborhoods where “bipartisanship brings insecurity and crime”. This is the complaint of Vox spokesperson to the Cortes de Castilla y León, Juan García-Gallardo, who spoke in these terms from the premises of the Barrio Delicias Neighborhood Association (AVBD). According to him, this neighborhood of Valladolid “has always been full of good, hardworking and honest people” but “since the phenomena of uncontrolled immigration are present in the neighborhood, with a particular type of immigration that does not come at all from desire to integrate: “It makes headlines because of the frequent cases of violence.”
García-Gallardo chose this Thursday morning, after visiting the association’s premises – filled with boxes waiting to be sent to the victims of DANA in Valencia – to walk a few streets in the company of its president, Luis Trapote, who told him recounted specific episodes and concerns of certain neighbors with whom he is in contact.
However, when questioned by journalists, the Vox spokesperson was unable to provide data on an increase in crime in this specific part of the city, since he admitted that “there is no has no public data by district”, even if he does not have his defense that these are not isolated cases, for which he resorted to a correlation between the percentage of the foreign population and the number of prisoners from other countries in Spain, to whom he defended that “the statistics are not racist”.
