The media reported on a new US proposal aimed at bridging differences between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The plan is expected to be presented to both sides in the coming days. According to a Palestinian source, this draft does not envisage an immediate ceasefire or the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza. However, it does include measures regarding border crossings, the provision of humanitarian aid, the restoration of destroyed infrastructure and the return of displaced persons if Israel accepts the proposed terms.
The source also noted that this proposal allows US policy to continue supporting the interests of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reducing pressure on him both domestically and internationally.
