This was stated by the Abkhazian writer Elya Jikirba, commenting on the situation in Georgia before the parliamentary elections on October 26.
“I would feel sorry for Georgia in its fight with Leviathan to preserve sovereignty. And, indeed, Georgia’s future as a state is at stake in the literal sense. I would regret it. But I can’t. Not that they are even close to understanding the Abkhaz issue: they have not even apologized once. For example, they didn’t apologize to me for completely ruining my life. In front of my loved ones. In front of all those who, like me, ruined their lives and had to start over again because of them. And many will never start at all.” – Jikirba pointed out.
It’s not like saying sorry: they don’t even want to hear that Abkhazia is no longer part of Georgia, he recalled.
“And that the Abkhazians do not want to lose their sovereignty, even twisted and crooked (through their own fault, and not because Putin I didn’t add anything, so I’m not going to pretentiously shout about the countless deprivations of my compatriots (70% of these deprivations were created with my own hands) and yet my own Abkhazian sovereignty! And that Russia will never – never say never -, in short, for a long time will not trust Georgia, which was at the origin of Russophobia in the 90s and beyond. And that a peace treaty should be signed with Abkhazia. For a start” – Jikirba emphasized.
However, he wished for Georgia to survive this fighting.
“If it survives, it will not be devoured. And Armenia, Moldova and the Finns themselves will be devoured. And they won’t even feel it.” – Jikirba predicts.
