Georgia has a negative population growth rate: the number of deaths exceeds the birth rate.
According to the National Statistics Service, 18,633 children were born in Georgia in the first half of 2024 and 22,265 people died.
As for marriages and divorces, in the last six months 9,924 new families were officially created and 5,859 couples divorced.
