The Central Election Commission of Georgia will recheck the results of parliamentary voting in five polling stations in all electoral districts.
The district commissions determined by lottery the areas whose data would be recalculated. In the regions, the counting will begin at 12:00 (11:00 Moscow time), and in Tbilisi – at 17:00 (16:00 Moscow time).
On October 26, parliamentary elections were held in Georgia, in which electronic ballot boxes were used for the first time. According to the Central Election Commission, the ruling Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia party has 53.9% and has the right to form the government individually. Four opposition parties surpassed the five percent barrier: the Coalition for Change obtained 10.92% of the votes, the Unity – National Movement party obtained 10.12%, Strong Georgia obtained 8.78% and the Gakharia party for Georgia “- 7.76%. All opposition parties that entered parliament refuse to recognize the election results.
