Finances and vice -Kanzler Lars Klingbeal (SPD) arrived in Ukraine on Monday morning. He withdrew from the train to the Kyiv station with a large black portfolio. In his baggage: even more German support!

His visit was unexpected, but well prepared inside. Speaking with the press in Kyiv, Clingbail emphasized that the German government will not return and that Germany will contribute to security guarantees for Ukraine. The strengthening of the Ukrainian army is vital. “It should continue!”

The production of defense in Ukraine should also be increased, explained Klingbeal. The German government plans nine billion euros per year for Ukraine in the future for many years.

Klingbale made it clear: “Putin should not have the illusions that our support for Ukraine can collapse.”

Last night, Russia attacked Ukraine with unmanned aircraft, especially in the Sumi area. The man was killed as a result of the attack, and nine others were injured. Political infrastructure has also suffered.

Germany exceeds the financial limit of $ 50 billion.

Currently, Germany has exceeded the threshold of assistance of $ 50 billion.

Since the aggressive war of Russia against Ukraine, the German government has already spent $ 50.5 billion to help by the end of 2024. Among them: military, financial, humanitarian.

  • 25 billion were spent on receiving refugees from Ukraine (reception, care, programs, benefits of citizens).
  • 17 billion were spent on military support (weapons, training, repair, satellite communications).
  • Almost seven billion were spent on political assistance (infrastructure, energy).
  • Less than two billion for the Ukrainian budget (civil servants).

The new government under the black -red coalition, of course, does not want to reduce the support of Ukraine. In 2025, 8.3 billion euros will be added. In 2026 and 2027, Lars Klingbeal plans to add another 18 billion euros, i.e., 8.5 billion euros per year.

SPD Finance Minister hints at further support

Nevertheless, it seems that soon even more financial assistance from Germany can be provided, especially if there is peace.

“I’m looking for a dialogue about how Germany can better support Ukraine in a possible peaceful process,” Klingbeal said. He will do this in a close consultation with the Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU).

At the same time, Vice -Kantzler SPD KLINGBALEL fought for negotiations on the ceasefire and peaceful negotiations: “While the world is negotiating, people should not continue to die every day as a result of cruel Russian attacks.”

The expectations of German financial assistance for possible reconstruction were high from the very beginning. In 2022, the Ukrainian government expressed the hope that Germany will be able to introduce about 500 million euros per month to restore.

According to Kyiv, the reconstruction will cost more than 850 billion euros for 14 years. “Our perception provides for the creation of two funds,” said Prime Minister Denis Denis Schmikhal at a recovery conference in Rome in July.

During his visit to Ukraine, Lars Klindbil left the question of how Germany can support Ukraine under security guarantees. He did not mention Kyiv if they could park in Ukraine, for example, German soldiers.

Just a few days ago, Klingbeal said to the TV channel Sitting.1 What Ukraine needs “primarily a powerful Ukrainian army” to guarantee that it no longer accepts attacks. Klingbeal continued: “Then we will see what else can be done. But if it is German soldiers or not, this is not a question right now. ”

The Germans have a similar point of view. In a survey conducted by the Institute of Opinions of Sivi on behalf of Web – De, 51% of respondents opposed Germany’s participation in a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine. Only 36 percent of the respondents will agree.
