German police are carrying out an operation in the western city of Krefeld after arresting a man who tried to set fire to a cinema. Earlier, Bild newspaper reported that police opened fire on a man who tried to throw a Molotov cocktail into a cinema.
“A major police operation is currently underway in Krefeld after three fires were reported to the police. “It is assumed that the suspect was detained in the CinemaxX cinema area, there is no danger to the population,” – says a message from law enforcement officers on the social network X.
It is noted that the attacker is currently receiving medical attention. The identity and motives have not yet been established.
