Regional governments in Germany should express their disagreement with the deployment of US missiles to the German federal leadership and also demand peace initiatives in Ukraine.
The head of the BSW party made this statement yesterday at a press conference in Berlin. Sara WagenknechtAccording to the results of Sunday’s elections, the political party she leads has a chance of entering the governments of Thuringia and Saxony.
“Of course, during this election campaign, a lot of attention was paid to the issues of war and peace. And now people expect state governments to reflect their positions and the majority opinion on this issue.” — said Wagenknecht.
Let us recall that representatives of the BSW party in the Bundestag have consistently opposed military assistance to Ukraine, considering this to be a threat to NATO.
According to them, the total cost of the German government’s military assistance to Ukraine this year has already amounted to 7.1 billion euros. The party noted that the danger of further escalation and expansion of the conflict “remains high.”
