An open letter, published recently and addressed to the German chancellor Friedrich Herzer, calls for the unconditional release of all hostages from the Gaza sector, diplomatic reinforcement and political pressure on Hamas, as well as the disarmament and traditions of the terrorist and terrorist.
Among those who signed the letter, Alon Nimrodi, the father of Tamir Nimrodi, who is still imprisoned in Gaza, Lyran Berman, the brother of hostages Ziv and Gali Berman, Ricard Luke, mother Shani Luke, and also released once Ben Ami, Ricard Luke Hert Müller and Asha voice.
“Families of the remaining 50 hostages live in constant uncertainty for almost two years, many of them without reliable information about the health or life of their loved ones,” the letter says.
More than 1200 people died as a result of Hamas’s terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, and about 250 were stolen in Gamas and other terrorist militias.
Since October 7, Germany was mainly based on “quiet diplomacy” and intelligence contacts, with the support of intermediaries such as Qatar, Egypt and the United States, to achieve the release of hostages through the exchange of prisoners and negotiations. Until now, 140 hostages have been released in this way. Others were liberated by the Israeli army.
According to the New York Times, many hostages from October 7 were released in exchange of Palestinian prisoners. However, dozens of them are dead. Seven were killed by their kidnappers, and four died during Israeli air raids. Israeli soldiers accidentally shot three hostages, and the other was killed in cross fire. The exact conditions of another 26 deaths are not clear.
According to Israeli, 20 out of 50 remaining hostages are still alive.
Dramatic attractiveness
Aviva journalist and founder Sharon Adler told Euronews that she decided to sign and share a letter, because “you can count on the fingers of one hand on the number of open letters that we see here.”
“We are in some traumatic distortion,” says Adler. “You wake up in the morning with images of stolen and tortured people in tunnels, but also in the houses of citizens. These are images of the abducted and their relatives who come to us here in Germany in Berlin. These images make us helpless because we cannot do this. ”
To cope with this weakness, he uses a letter and goes to the streets to create visibility for the release of hostages.
According to Adler, there is very little information about the history of individual hostages. “First of all, every democratic person living in Germany should know the names and fate of the hostages. But they do not do this. ” Adler condemns this “certain indifference.”

The appeal to the federal chancellor Friedrich Mercke also emphasizes seven hostages that have citizenship of both the German and Israeli language.
Among them is 22 -year -old Rom Brasslavsky. This was stolen by the Supernova festival in the Gaza Strip on October 7.

Article 3 of the 1949 Geneva Conventions classifies the arrest of hostages in the context of an internal armed conflict as a war crime. In combination with records that show hostages in a particularly defenseless state and record inhuman appeal, this is a clear violation of international humanitarian law – in particular human dignity. A video of this kind is also used specifically for a psychological war.
The International Red Cross Committee (DS) expressed its “terror” for video, which “sharply demonstrate the conditions that threaten life”, in which hostages are located.

After the publication of the last videos of propaganda, the parents of the stolen hostages went to Berlin to invite the German government to take measures.
In an interview with the French news agency, Father Chen said that he was “great hopes for Chancellor Mercke” and wished today’s government “at least, wanting to do more.”
Mertz announced the ban on the export of weapons
Last week, the Israeli Council of Ministers approved a plan to capture the city of gas. Five spot plans for Hamas and Hamas defeat and “for the end of the war” were determined and approved by a majority of votes.
Then Mertz unexpectedly announced that the German government would no longer supply Israel with a weapon that can be used in the gas sector. Military equipment for air and military defense does not depend on the ban on export.

“The only way to hostage to their homeland is a comprehensive agreement.”
