Germany has decided to supply Ukraine with AIM-9L Sidewinder guided missiles, 4,000 attack drones, 361 Songbird reconnaissance drones and winter equipment, according to the Bundestag website.
Berlin also increased from one to three the number of TRLM-4D radar systems being prepared for delivery and the number of 40 mm caliber cartridges (from 88 thousand to 130 thousand).
The AIM-9L Sidewinder air-to-air guided missile has a range of 18 km. The missile can be used on the F-16 fighter jets that Western countries supply to Ukraine. The United States and Canada promised last year to supply such missiles to Ukraine.
Germany is one of the largest providers of military aid to Ukraine after the United States. In particular, Berlin provided kyiv with Leopard tanks, self-propelled howitzers, HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, 265,000 155 mm artillery ammunition, etc.
Moscow condemns the sending of military supplies to kyiv and claims that this will only prolong the conflict, but will not change its outcome, RBC recalls.
