Germany wants to have an Israeli cyber coupon

BERLIN – Germany should make Israel a model to combat threats on the Internet. This was identified by the Minister of the Interior Alexander Dobrindt, who called for the formation of Cyber ​​-Cupol.

Dobrindt made a statement after visiting Israel on Saturday, a few days after the end of the 12 -day military conflict with Iran. In an interview with the German tabloid Bild, Dobrindt praised the Israeli civil defense infrastructure and called on his country to accept a similar approach to modern threats.

“In this case, we will work closely with Israel. Germany needs a strong digital cycle for espionage, sabotage and to protect important infrastructure, such as energy and communication companies, ”he said.

Dobrindt does not provide specific details. The use of the term “Siber dome”, in the visible one, refers to a short missile defense system from Israel.

Earlier this month, the Federal Crime Department of Germany (BKA) announced a record of cybercrime in 2024, documenting more than 131,000 cases.
