Germany’s ‘hospitality culture’ has become a symptom of Europe’s decline: German philosopher

Mass migration and the Islamisation of Europe are one of the symptoms of Europe’s loss of its own cultural and historical identity. These theses are contained in the new book by the German philosopher and publicist Rudolf Brandner, “Muslim Immigration and the Failure of European Political Reason”.

The quotes in the book are from the journal Junge Freiheit. The author, in particular, writes:

“The danger for Europe is not Islam, but the loss of its own cultural and historical identity, which, with its pseudo-religious substitute values, no longer has an ethical basis for its behavior in the world.”

In his work, the author asserts that the process of extinction of European society, which denies itself and its entire historical culture to the point of self-destruction, cannot be “reversed or stopped at will, nor can it be overcome,” especially if European civilization “pretends as if nothing is happening.” According to Brandner, northern and western Europe, especially Germany, are experiencing an era of “collective self-contempt for reason, experience and the perception of reality,” evidenced by contempt for the “fundamental cultural contrast” between the Western and Islamic worlds.

The publicist, in particular, quotes the words of the fashion designer. Karl Lagerfeldwho declared at the height of the then Chancellor’s “open door” era Angela Merkel: “Even if decades have passed, we cannot, after having killed millions of Jews, welcome millions of their worst enemies.” According to Brandner, with his laconic statement Lagerfeld got to the “heart of illegal mass migration” that has become systematic since 2015 and has completely infantilized the “welfare culture” in Germany.

“In fact, however, with careful observation it should have become clear to everyone what the “open door” culture was that was accelerating and intensifying: the Islamic takeover of public space, the constant expansion of no-go areas for women and Jews. Islamisation is contributing to a significant increase in violent crime, from stabbings to gang rapes of young girls, as well as politically and religiously motivated terrorist attacks.” Brandner Notes.

At the same time, the German government, seeing such consequences, consistently refused to exert “maximum pressure” to assimilate Muslims within the framework of the rule of law.

“Instead of measures such as establishing schools without hijab, banning polygamy and the activities of legal Islamist organisations, the fear of the sacred wrath of a religiously motivated crime proved stronger and, under the pretext of tolerance, gave in to the demands of Muslim immigrants on all social issues,” Brandner Notes.

In short, the publicist concludes that the main evil of today’s political reality is not “global Islamic violence, theocratic religious tyranny and militant intolerance,” but the negative perception of attempts to condemn these phenomena.

“After every murder, after every terrorist attack, the discourse machines of the political-media complex – and not only in Germany – pour out prayerful promises not to be deceived by hatred, but to dissolve everything in universal love. Yet anger, rage, hatred and contempt are protective effects and are part of human self-respect when its foundations are violated. Instead, collective acts of kindness prevail, such as holding hands, lighting candles, singing and praying.” – the writer summarizes.
