“Global Media Group” organized the “Sustainability Language for Media” training together with the UN Global Compact

On the third day of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku, “Global Media Group” organized a training on “The language of sustainability for the media” within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the UN Global Compact in the Green Zone.

Oku.Az informs that the goal of the training is to ensure more active participation of “Global Media Group” on international platforms in the field of sustainability, promote sustainable development through the media, support media representatives to create more effective and informative content on the topics of sustainability and climate change, as well as educating the public about climate change, was to provide better information on environmental protection and sustainability issues.

The training speaker, Vinn Boelt, Head of Communications for the United Nations Global Compact, shared his international experience with media employees included in the “Global Media Group”, and emphasized the responsibility of the media on climate issues. change and sustainability:

“The media plays an important role in informing the public, especially when covering climate issues. By covering important issues, the media raises society’s awareness and influences a broader audience, encouraging collective action to a sustainable future. It should be noted that on October 9 of this year, “Global Media Group” signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UN Global Compact.
