promises to be a blockbuster. THE movie “Good luck”the film adaptation of Rosa Montero’s bestsellerit takes several days filming in Navarre. The director of the film, the one from Madrid Grace Querejetain love with Navarre, chose several filming locations in the Autonomous Community.
She is not the only director to have chosen Navarra to film. Recently, the Navarrese town of Leoz has once again become a film set for the new short film by Navarrese director Javier Celay; or the visit to Tafalla of the ‘Raqa’ team, with Alvaro Morte And El Hammani Mine.
So these days, the “caution, registration, five and action” regularly rings out in cities like Obanos, Abárzuza, Oteiza and Muruzabalas well as in Pamplona itself, where a good part of the sequences were filmed.
The entire cast of the film was relocated to the regional community, including the lead actor. Hugo Silvanor the beautiful Megan Montaner in the roles of Pablo and Raluca; but other well-known actors like Eva Ugarte, Josean Bengoetxea, Ismael Martínez, Paqui Horcajo, Chani Martín, Miguel Rellán and Álvaro Rico.
In the words of its director, Gracia Querejeta, the film reflects “the long journey of two fascinating characters, Pablo and Raluca, and the capacity of this human being to find love in its oppositewhich is surely the most attractive thing about Rosa Montero’s splendid novel,” says the filmmaker. “When Pablo has lost all hope of a life without pain or fear, Raluca’s innate joy begins to permeate without realizing it. In a way, the story is also a hymn to the need to force ourselves to enjoy the present even if our lives are upside down,” he concludes.
Synopsis of “Good Luck”
What drives a man to get off a train early and hide in a seedy town? Do you want to start your life over or do you want to end it? Maybe he’s running away from someone, or something, or even himself, and fate has brought him to this little town built next to the railroad tracks.
Pablo does not know how long the journey he has undertaken will last, but his stay, almost from the first moment, will be full of surprisesof events that will not always be welcome. The counterpart to Pablo’s vigilance and fear is Raluca, a woman ten years his junior who looks at life with generous and compassionate eyes.
For her, everything is better or worse depending on the lens through which you look. She decided a long time ago be able to trust your luck even though life doesn’t always show its best side. It’s a story in which horror and kindness, fear and hope, love and the deepest hatred come together. And a story that tells us how after every defeat, there can be a new beginning, a new opportunity to hold on to life.
