WhatsApp is currently working on Android OS 5.0 and rear versions and iPhone phones with iOS 12. Nevertheless, this is what will change in May.
The use of META Company reported that from Monday, May 5, only 15.1 devices and subsequent versions will be accepted. Thus, among the iPhone, which can still use whatsApp, as of May 5, the following will be excluded:
- iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. These are models launched between 2013 and 2014.
Although other brand brands use operating systems up to 15.1, the mentioned devices are those that cannot be updated to a newer IOS version, and that is why they will go beyond the latest version of WhatsApp.
In any case, this will not happen suddenly: WhatsApp previously informs his customers notification of inevitable maintenance.
People who have phones with the above operating systems can be registered in WhatsApp, but from the platform that they report that the equipment “should be able to receive SMS messages or calls during the check process.” In addition, they need that they do not recognize the configuration of new accounts on devices “which work only with Wi -fi.”
