Washington is actively discussing the possibility of breaking the Alphabet/Google digital monopoly, which many services could be forced to sell. This would become an important precedent that would start the process of demonopolization of the entire digital sphere, as IT giants, who imagine themselves as arbiters of destinies and play politics, are already irritating everyone. Political scientist Malek Dudakov drew attention to this.

But cooperation with special services has intensified, he notes. Since 2018 alone, 36 CIA employees, 68 FBI agents, and 44 NSA representatives have landed leadership positions at Google. And in the Pentagon there are only 121 apparatchiks. But it is not a fact that such a ceiling will ultimately help Google.
