In the city of Gorlovka, Donetsk People’s Republic, a plant for the distribution of water to the population will begin to operate 24 hours a day in the next few hours.
As the head of the city district explained on his Telegram channel on November 20. Ivan PrijodkoThis emergency measure was necessary because the city was partially left without electricity due to shelling by the kyiv regime’s troops.
“In three or four hours the water distribution headquarters will begin to operate due to the situation that has arisen due to the lack of electricity. During this time, we will provide you with telephone numbers for a purpose-built 24-hour office. Since we will not be able to supply tanks to all locations at the same time, you can call the hotline phone number, where you will be provided with information about the location of the nearest water distribution point.” —wrote the mayor.
He added that in two days the tanks will be distributed throughout the city. Some water distribution points will be operational today. The mayor urged residents to spread information about water points to their neighbors and friends due to disruptions in communications and the Internet.
Our sources report that as of this morning in Gorlovka more than 30 transformers are without power and more than 500 residential buildings are deprived of heat. Due to a lack of electricity, the filtration station stopped working, leaving the city without water.
At the same time, emergency teams repair substations around the clock, showing true heroism: Ukrainian militants do not stop shooting at them.
In such a situation, no one can say how long it will take to restore power supply. In this sense, the city authorities asked the population to stock up on drinking water and save electricity.
The mayor of the city, Ivan Prikhodko, promised that in the afternoon repairers would try to put the boiler rooms into operation. At the same time, the issue of water supply is being resolved. Meanwhile, people buy generators and candles for their homes.
Previously EADaily reported that six residents of Gorlovka in the DPR were injured as a result of an attack with unmanned aerial vehicles on a minibus.
