This Friday, the Government suspended the Ayudavalencia.es web domain at the request of the National Police, which detected signs of fraud. This is one of the pages that received donations supposedly aimed at collaborating in the recovery of the disaster left in its wake by DANA.

“The action was initiated urgently, after receiving, from the Provincial Information Brigade of the National Police of Valencia, a complaint regarding requests from this website regarding fraudulent donations of financial aid, via the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, for those affected by DANA. in the Valencian Community,” reported Red.es, the public company that manages .es domains, reporting to the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

The press release did not specify the people who may have been affected, although the police investigation is ongoing. The Government recommended that citizens “check the aid channels that are being launched to collaborate in the reconstruction of the areas affected by DANA”, especially in the case of financial donations.
