The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced during the plenary session of Congress that in the coming weeks he would seek support from Parliament to implement a new family law. A new standard which will aim to meet the demographic challenge, by offering assistance in particular to single-parent families and migrants.
“The European population will age, it will lose 30 million people of working age. If we do nothing, we could lose up to four million working people. This challenge is already there”, underlined the President of the Government .
“It is not realistic to think that Spain will recover the birth rate. In the West, people do not have as many children because they simply do not want to,” he said. -he concluded.
