The fire affected a private facility and Endesa had to cut off the power supply to allow firefighters and Infoca to intervene.
About 350 residents of The Higueron they left last night power supply for several hours after the wiring of a particular installation caught fire, to which a fire of pastures.
This was confirmed by sources from Endesa, who, at around 9:42 p.m., had to disconnect a line so that the fire brigade could intervene. “At 11:40 p.m., the supply had already been replenished,” company sources said.
The fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. near the Route A-431at the canal. About twenty calls alerted the Andalusian emergency service 112 to the large column of smoke visible from several nearby points. Members of the Cordoba Fire and Rescue Service (SEIS), Infoca and the local police went to the scene and extinguished the flames around midnight. The rest of the incident, approximately 500 meters of grass and 100 linear meters of olive trees burned, as confirmed by 112.
