The Athenian Court of Appeal discovered all 7 accused during the trial on the illegal subsidies of the Opechep.

Of the seven accused, three sitting in the dock received Opecepe subsidies during the period 2019-2020. As for the facts, three of the seven accused, as a prosecutor, turned to the receipt of public assistance. The first approximately 35 thousand euros, the second of approximately 45 thousand euros and the third of about 97 thousand euros.

All three accused returned the amounts that they received as hired land in the areas of Castoria, Kozani and Florin.

It is noted that of the amounts that they received for participation in 2019, they helped young farmers.

The executive European prosecutor Kalliopi Diand, in addition to guilt, also rejected the independent demand of some accused to eliminate the crime for the return.

Earlier, the defendant’s defense lawyer submitted to the Court of Appeal by the State Prosecutor’s Office to the Larisa Department for himself – as he said – in the dispute, arguing That these are identical facts. As he said, the case was done in a file from the absence of crimes, and archiving was approved by the prosecutor’s office.
