“Gypsies have never been very hard-working”

The ultra advisor of the Baza Town Hall, Rafael Azorwent viral with a racist message on his social networks where he disdained the Camela concert offered this Friday during their festivities.

“Gypsies have never been very hard-working, And last night neither. An hour and a little bit of concert, with the ticket a little expensive for what it was… Some musicians with thirty years of career, want more…”, he published.

A crime that extends to all gypsies. “These are very unfortunate words. They generate hatred and also use very crude stereotypes. In truth, this translates into anti-gypsy attitudes that we gypsies suffer from daily,” laments Ana Segovia, from the Social Defense Department of the Secretariado Gitano Foundation.

He posted this racist message on his Facebook account and shortly after deleting it. It’s a former Vox councilor who joined the PP municipality as a non-registered councilor. However, the advisor himself assured ‘eldiario.es’ that he had nothing to say about it.

“Franco worked for Spain and I worked for Baza. That’s the only thing that I think identifies me,” he said last year.

And this is not the first time that Azor has sparked controversy. Three years ago, he did not hesitate to attack the 8M with sexist messages: “I think At the forefront of this March 8th day, there are women who are not women. If a woman gets complimented by a man and she’s not a woman, of course she doesn’t like being complimented.”

An intolerant behavior in which he is already a repeat offender.
