Strong protests against France arose within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) held in Baku.
Oku.Az reports that the Turkish television channel “Haber Global” prepared a special argument on this matter.

“Currently, French Polynesia and New Caledonia are recognized by the UN as non-self-governing territories. However, their decolonization process is still delayed,” said the president.
Highlighting that the nature of French Polynesia is facing serious degradation, France has carried out numerous nuclear tests there, the Head of State stated that the official island of Paris is to blame for the pollution and damage to the soil:
“If we add to this the 17 nuclear tests carried out by France during its years of occupation of Algeria, we will see what kind of damage that country has caused to the planet’s ecosystem.”
Referring to crimes in the overseas territories, the president of Azerbaijan said that France has recently violated human rights and that many citizens were killed and injured by the Macron regime during the demonstrations in New Caledonia.
