The agenda of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Azerbaijan is financing. Leaders and representatives of countries are looking for ways to raise funds to fight the climate crisis.
Oku.Az reports that this is stated in the plot prepared by “Haber Global”.
It should be noted that the main agenda of this year’s conference is the provision of financing to combat the climate crisis.
Bünyamin Sürmeli, meteorology editor at “Haber Global”, observed COP29 on site.
Sürmeli emphasized the importance of creating financial resources to combat climate change and said that the world’s highest-emitting countries did not participate in the conference at a high level.
He also drew attention to the importance of the financial support that banks will provide to the fight against climate change.
COP29 is reportedly supposed to find the money that will provide the change needed to fight the climate crisis.
“In particular, the goal is to secure commitments for financial aid to countries most affected by climate change. According to experts, developing countries outside China need at least $1 trillion a year to shift to green energy and protect against extreme weather conditions,” the material said.
