November 5, Pedro Sánchez announced that the first aid program for self-employed people, workers, businesses, households and municipalities areas affected by Dana would amount to 10.6 billion euros.
After the announcement, economic sources criticized the amount allocated: “At first glance, the 10.6 billion seems insufficient compared to the scale of the tragedy”, they underlined after the announcement, while remaining cautious because it had to be analyzed after its publication in the BOE.
A week later, Lorenzo Amor, president of the Association of Independent Workers (ATA), criticized on his X account, formerly Twitter, that half (5 billion) of the amount announced by the Government corresponded to loans from the Official Credit Instituteentrepreneurs and self-employed workers who use the resource will therefore have to return it later.
Also emphasizes the Love that The 10,600 million includes the 3,500 million which correspond to the Insurance Compensation Consortium and this is paid by all citizens with the policies every time the insurance is paid.
All this happens just hours after the announcement of the second relief package that the Government will allocate to the most affected localities to try to mitigate the effects of Dana.
