At the same time, the head of the White House assured that the parties are currently “very close” to concluding an agreement on a temporary truce in the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu, in turn, addressing the nation, said he was ready for a 42-day pause in the first stage of the agreement. However, he opposes the idea of the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Philadelphia Corridor, explaining that this will allow Hamas to obtain the necessary weapons to commit new crimes against Israel.
