Harris raised $540 million in one month… ‘Zhen’s War’ also moving forward

The campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris, the US Democratic presidential candidate, has surpassed $540 million (about 717.7 billion won) in campaign funds due to the effects of the national convention and increased donations from young people. In particular, campaign fundraising is accelerating as donations rose rapidly following the presidential candidate’s acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention last week.

According to the Associated Press on the 25th (local time), Vice President Harris raised $540 million in campaign funds in about a month after declaring her candidacy for president last month. In particular, Harris raised $82 million (about 109 billion won) only from the 19th to the 22nd, when the Democratic Party held its national convention in Chicago.

According to the Washington Post, based on the results of the Fairleigh Dickinson University poll of 810 registered American voters from the 17th to the 20th and announced on the 25th (margin of error ±3.5% with a confidence level of 95%), Vice President Harris defeated Trump. With an approval rating of 50%, she was 7 percentage points ahead of the former president (43%).

The research institute found that both candidates demonstrated a high level of internal loyalty, achieving a 95% approval rating among Democratic and Republican supporters, respectively.

In Harris’ case, she received support from 87% of voters who defined themselves as liberals and 93% of progressives. Even among moderates, 62% were ahead of Trump (30%).

Trump received 76% support from conservatives and an overwhelming 95% support from far-right MAGA (Make America Great Again) supporters. This poll was conducted while independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. was in the primaries, so the effect of Kennedy Jr.’s support for Trump was not reflected.
