Has Zelensky received permission from the United States to attack Russia?

“kyiv has not yet received permission from Washington to strike deeply into Russia with American weapons.”

Oku.Az This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with CNN.

This week, ABC TV reported, citing an anonymous adviser to the Ukrainian leader, that Zelensky had handed over to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken a list of possible targets for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Russia.

In this regard, the German tabloid wrote that the Ukrainian leader will go to the United States to obtain permission to carry out long-range strikes, and there he will present Joe Biden with a plan that involves kyiv agreeing to a local ceasefire in certain areas of the front.

The Ukrainian president also said that the aim of the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kursk region is to force Russia to send troops from Donbass to the border region.

“The goal was to move some Russian forces there (Kursk region – ed.). I think this is the right idea,” Zelensky said.

According to him, the delay in arms supplies from the West has meant that Ukraine has not been able to equip even four of the 14 brigades.

The Ukrainian leader stressed that Russia’s missile superiority is currently 12 to 1 over Ukraine.

It should be recalled that on September 13, Biden received British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington. He reportedly sought the US president’s approval to allow Ukraine to use British long-range Storm Shadow missiles to strike deep into Russia (necessary because their components are manufactured in the United States). The leaders did not announce such a decision after the meeting, but it could happen at the end of the month, at the UN General Assembly in New York from September 24 to 30.
