The court has made a decision regarding the relatives of the famous business brothers who spent their business money on “TikTok”.
According to Gaynarinfo, a criminal case was opened against Fakhri Mammadova, who was born in the village of Mammadrzali in the Jalilabad district in 1996, under Article 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code, and the case was heard in court.
It turned out that Fakhri Mammadov embezzled 164,000 manats from LLC “Agro EM”, the founder of which was businessman Ehtigad Gardashov, the son of his aunt. The accused worked at a company that was engaged in the sale of grain in Azerbaijan. Using his family connections, he used the company’s money of 164,040 manats in parts to buy tokens used in the social network “TikTok” through the “MilliÖn” device.
Mammadov watched live broadcasts of “TikTok” users and sent “lion” tokens worth 650 AZN to users who liked them. Between June 9 and June 20, 2023, he spent almost all of the money – 164,040 manats – that he received from various people in order to give it to the victim in this way, i.e. by sending expensive gifts to various “TikTok” users. live broadcasts.
The defendant said in his testimony that sending a gift increases the user’s reputation and is interesting to him, and that the feeling of being seen as a rich person in the eyes of others is pleasant, and in order to make new friends, he added his own funds to his profile balance around March-April 2023, and then started sending gifts to various people. Small gifts did not attract attention, so he sent expensive gifts and wanted to increase his reputation. Since he did not have enough money to send an expensive gift of 650 manats, his aunt sent expensive gifts by transferring the money she received from various people and which was supposed to reach her son to her profile balance.
Ehtigad Gardashov told the court that he forgave the accused and that the damage caused was paid by Fakhri’s parents. By decision of the court, Fakhri Mammadov was sentenced to 5 years and 6 years of suspended imprisonment. The accused was released from the courtroom.
