“He refuses to lead the cultural battle”

The People’s Party (PP) showed itself open, for the first time, to sitting down with “social agents” and bring the postures closer together with the coalition government regarding reduction of working hours what the Ministry of Labor of Yolanda Díaz has been pursuing for months. In reality, what is proposed in principle would not be to reduce the working day but rather concentrate it in four days.

Esperanza Aguirre has been very critical of this position, emphasizing that she finds it bad that the PP has decided “take the flags of the left and defend them” after having carried out some surveys. “I do not believe in the moral superiority of the left, I believe in that of liberalism”, he declared in “L’Objectif”.

THE former president of the Community of Madrid assured that This seems to be “nonsense” Yolanda Díaz’s proposal, emphasizing that she believes that the PP refuses to “lead the cultural battle”. “If we don’t give it, we won’t win the elections,” he warned.

Aguirre acknowledged that she thinks they should not focus on doing investigations. “We are not going to ask citizens what they want, we are going to tell them what we think Spain needs,” he defended.

He thus underlined that citizens are convinced “struggle”taking as an example the management of Javier Milei in Argentina. “He’s been fighting the battle since day one,” he said.

One of the first to react to these statements by Esperanza Aguirre was Elías Bendodo. The PP coordinator indicated that they were going to focus on “do things well and in order”. A moment that he took advantage of to emphasize that “social dialogue is what built part of democracy in our country and cannot be lost”.
