Local police officers in Elche (Alicante) have arrested a man accused of destroy the furniture in a house and threaten his owner, who had taken him in, as reported by the town hall in a press release.
On September 2, around 3 a.m., local police received a report that a man was breaking furniture in a house in the Carrús neighborhood.
Two patrols attended the scene of the incident and, once there, the complainant indicated that a few days ago he had welcomed a couple into his home and that while the three of them were watching television, the couple began a heated argument. The owner of the house attempted to mediate between the two men, and the man then began aggressively damaging furniture in the house.
Given the facts, the owner asked the man to leave, but he refused to leave the house and pulled out an open knife in front of him while threatening to kill him. So, he violently opened the weapon towards the chest of the owner of the house, who managed to avoid it. Faced with such violence, he decided to flee from his home.
As police went up to the flat, neighbours noticed the man was very upset and throwing objects out of the window into the street. Upon entering the property, the attacker fled and was located a few minutes later by officers, from whom he attempted to escape.
As a result of what happened, the 43-year-old man was arrested and taken to the police station. During the journey, he insulted and threatened the police officers.
