The hearing of the appeal against the decision of Misir Karimov (conditional), accused of fraud in the Supreme Court, has ended.

According to information obtained by Pravda.az, the decision was announced in the trial presided over by Judge Teyyub Mukhtarov.

According to the indictment, Misir Karimov borrowed a mobile phone in the name of his friend Malik Asadov (conditional), used it himself and made a false promise that he would repay the loan in full within one month, otherwise he would return the phone. ah him.

He did not fulfill his promise by purchasing a mobile phone of the brand “iPhone 13 Pro Max” worth 3,805 manats on the condition of repaying the loan for 6 months in his friend’s name. Misir then sold the phone to another store without Malik’s knowledge.

Furthermore, Misir Karimov made a false promise that he would start a family with the victim Ilaha Safarova (conditionally) and, upon convincing her, presented himself as a person working in law enforcement. He asked the woman to give him money or other goods to solve problems that arose in his service job, and deceived her by promising to return it to her as soon as possible. Egypt received a total of 16,539 manats in 2022 from a woman with this name in the Narimanov region.

In addition, Misir Karimov cheated on another woman, the victim Gozal Hajiyeva (conditional). Thus, he convinced the victim that he would start a family and, presenting himself as a successful businessman, made a false promise to establish a joint business in the field of car purchasing and rental. In 2022, Egypt took a total of 53,600 manats from Gozal, in the Nizami region, through fraud.

He was sentenced to 7 years in prison by the Baku Serious Crimes Court. The Baku Court of Appeal reduced Egypt’s sentence to six years.
