He wanted to transfer 101,000 gold to Azerbaijan: OPEN criminal case

The preliminary hearing of the trial of Sabina Sabir gizi Aliyeva, Kamala Mammad gizi Mammadova and Sabina Ravil gizi Nasibova, charged under article 206.3.2 of the Criminal Code (smuggling – when committed by a group of persons with prior collusion) in the Se held by the Baku Serious Crimes Court, presided over by Judge Rasim Sadikhov.

According to information from “Unikal”, prosecutor Rauf Malyshov announced the indictment in the trial presided over by Judge Rasim Sadikhov. It turned out that Kamala Mammadova tried to smuggle about 1 kilogram of gold jewelry worth 101 thousand manats to Azerbaijan through Sabina Nasibova and Sabina Aliyeva. Thus, “Duty Free” employee Sabina Nasibova had to illegally pass the gold jewelry brought by Kamala Mammadova from Turkey through customs control at the Heydar Aliyeva airport and hand it over to Kamala herself. However, it was not taken and the gold was found in the closet that Sabina hid.

Kamala Mammadova made a free statement and said that she wanted to move to Türkiye, but couldn’t because her mother-in-law had heart surgery. Therefore, through Sabina Nasibova, he wanted to illegally transfer 896 grams of gold jewelry from Turkey to Azerbaijan: “I met Sabina Nasibova through the director of the cargo company Sahil M., he will tell me what the price will be. He said “I will pay your respects. I did not know Sabina Aliyeva. I bought our house in the Narimanov district of the city of Baku in Türkiye.”

As there were contradictions in the testimony of the accused Kamala Mammadova, the judge announced her testimony at the investigation. It turned out that Kamala bought the jewelry in a store in Istanbul. The salesman at the Istanbul store sent the gold to Sabina through a courier.

The trial was adjourned until December 17.

It should be noted that the three women were taken into police custody during the preliminary investigation.

It should be noted that the State Customs Committee was recognized as a victim in the criminal case.
