The Almería Provincial Court sentenced a man accused of trafficking to two years in prison. ecstasy, amphetamines and ketamine near the Dreambeach Villaricos electronic music festivalwhich took place in Cuevas del Almanzora (Almería), in July 2022.
The judgment, consulted by Europa Press and made firm by agreement of the parties, imposes two years in prison on the accused for an offense against public health involving substances which cause serious damage to health as well as payment of a fine of 1,000 euros.
The sentence considers it proven that the accused was surprised on the beach of Quitapellejos, in the aforementioned village of Cueva, while heading towards the area of macrofestival concerts when he intervened by the agents.
Thus, during the search of his property to which he was subjected, he was found in possession of several doses of ketamine, amphetamine and MDMA together valued at more than 1,300 euroswith whom he intended to traffic throughout the event through his illicit trade.
The accused was found with 0.79 grams of a mixture of MDMA and ketamine valued at 37.2 euros as well as two other batches containing 7.26 grams and 1.87 grams each of low purity amphetamine but valued on the market for almost 184 euros.
Likewise, it was found in possession of up to six batches of ecstasy with a total weight of 31.27 grams of varying levels of purity and a value of 1,087.71 euros. The total value of the drugs seized would have exceeded 1,308 euros. In this sense, the man already had with him 169.65 euros of “fruit” of this illicit trafficking.
The court granted the suspension of the custodial sentence for a period of three years on condition that the convicted person does not reoffend during this period.
