The heavy rains that have fallen in the province of Malaga since this morning have caused andl closure and suspension of classes in several educational centers in the province. This was announced by the Territorial Delegation of Educational Development and Professional Training of the Government of Andalusia in Malaga, which detailed in an informative note the incidents until 12:00 p.m. this Tuesday.
Thus, at CEIP Nescania, Abdalajís Valleyclasses were suspended due to the flooding of the center. The same thing happened at the CEIP Federico García Lorca, in the urban center of Zafra ravine, in the town of Almogia. In addition, the El Puente infant school, in Alorais closed due to the overflowing of the river, and the IES Valle del Sol, in this same town in the Guadalhorce valley, is flooded, and therefore classes have been suspended.
In Malaga capital, the San Telmo Art School had to relocate the students affected by the flooding of the ground floor workshops. In addition, also in the city, the IES Miraflores de los Ángeles was affected by the partial fall of a wall; IES Cánovas del Castillo displaced vocational training students due to damage to classrooms; and at CEIP Salvador Rueda there are power outages affecting the school cafeteria.
The Educational Development and FP Delegation also emphasizes that the CPR Atalaya, in Antequerasuspended classes due to the isolation of the La Joya and La Higuera neighborhoods; and that the IES Fuente Luna, of Advicealso suspended classes due to flooding in the center; and the CEIP Narixa de Nerja displaced its students due to the damage caused to the classrooms.
Finally, CEIP Enrique Ramos Ramos, in Carob treeis affected by power outages; and CEIP Enrique Ginés, in Frigilianais also experiencing this impact due to electricity supply cuts.
All this information was collected by the Territorial Delegation through direct contact with the centers. Additionally, from coordination room 112, it was reported that, until 11:18 a.m., only one educational center in Álora had contacted the service due to incidents resulting from the rains.
