Hezbollah attacks Israel with 150 rockets after terrorists killed in beep blast

Hezbollah launched an offensive this Friday against Israel: a wave of attacks for which the terrorists used about 150 rockets. The tens of projectiles They struck northern Israel and the terrorist organization claimed that the targets were military installations in the region. The attack by Hezbollah terrorists comes amid heightened tensions between Israel and Lebanon after two days of coordinated explosions of terrorist communications devices. Between Tuesday and Wednesday, 40 people died, including terrorists from the organization, and 3,000 were injured.

The group said that in the past few hours it attacked a “position of enemy soldiers” in Matla with “a guided missile,” after which it launched dozens of Katyusha-type projectiles against the headquarters of an armored brigade and the 36th Division in Al Aliqa, as reported by the Lebanese Al Manar TV channel, linked to Hezbollah.

Likewise, it confirmed the death of two of its members – identified as Muhammad Ali Hasan al Zein and Yusef Muhamad al Sayid – following the latest Israeli attacks, without specifying whether they were victims of the explosions of communications devices attributed to Israel or the latest bombardments by the Israeli army against Lebanese territory.

The Israeli army bombed nearly a hundred targets allegedly linked to Hezbollah on Thursday afternoon, in one of the largest attacks carried out by Israel since fighting began nearly a year ago following attacks carried out on October 7, 2023 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian factions.

On Thursday, Hezbollah Secretary-General Hasan Nasrallah accused Israel of causing an “unprecedented massacre” and “crossing all ‘red lines'” with the explosion of thousands of communications devices in the country and warned that Israelis would not be able to return to their homes in the north of the country, due to the threat of an extension of the conflict.

In this sense, he explained that the communication devices were not only in the possession of Hezbollah members, but that they were devices “widespread in different layers of society.” The explosions surprised civilians who were in hospitals, markets or on public roads, he maintained, before assuring that “Israel tried to kill more than 5,000 people.”

The resurgence of clashes between Israel and Hezbollah – an Iranian-backed group that wields significant military and political clout in Lebanon – has raised fears of a possible spillover of the conflict into the Middle East. In this context, the Israeli military presented its “operational plans” for Lebanon to the United States last week.
