The UN peacekeeping force (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon was attacked by Hezbollah terrorists. Several people were injured when they were accidentally hit by a volley aimed at Israel.
This was reported by the IDF press service.
In the Bint Jubail area, in the border village of Ramiya, a UNIFIL peacekeeper post was attacked. This happened when air raid sirens were activated throughout Galilee. The terrorist organization Hezbollah launched about 25 rockets, one of which hit a house in Karmiel, causing minor injuries to a woman.
The attack was carried out by terrorists from the village of Deir Aames, in the Tire region, and Ramia found herself directly in the line of fire. According to the IDF, several rockets fell in Lebanon, one of which damaged a UN peacekeeping post.
Previously, Cursor wrote that interrogations of Hezbollah terrorists captured during an IDF operation in southern Lebanon revealed alarming facts about possible cooperation between the group and UNIFIL peacekeepers. Sources familiar with the investigation say Hezbollah paid peacekeepers to use its positions along the Israeli border.
Additionally, terrorists captured UN surveillance cameras located at these positions and used the data obtained to launch attacks against the Israel Defense Forces.
Additionally, Cursor has already reported that the UN reported that Israeli tanks broke through the gates of a peacekeeping force base in southern Lebanon. According to Reuters, two Merkava tanks destroyed the main gate of the UNIFIL base before dawn. Then, at a distance of about 100 meters from the gate, explosions occurred, after which smoke appeared and spread throughout the base.
