Hidraqua and the Red Cross, united in the III Business Forum to seek new alliances that respond to the municipal challenges of the province of Alicante

Spanish Red Cross and Hydraqua The III Business Forum begins to look for new alliances that respond to local challenges. In this third edition, this forum becomes a series of conferences at the provincial level. The Elda Shoe Museum hosted this first meeting that will extend through the cities of Benidorm, Orihuela, Sant Joan d’Alacant and Santa Pola until next November.

In all its versions, this forum brings together several companies to jointly raise local issues and ideas in terms of Responsibility and Social Action. In addition, it highlights the alliances between the Red Cross, Hidraqua, the local business world, the administration and the different associations of each municipality.

Among the topics discussed during each of the meetings, the business sustainabilityin the social axis; associationism linked to participation; or technology at the service of people in terms of participation and employment. Likewise, in accordance with the Action Plan of the Spanish Red Cross, this cycle of forums also speaks of the figure of the volunteer as an agent who promotes and participates in the achievement of objectives.

Amélie NavarroDirector of Sustainability, Equity and Social Action at Hidraqua, explains that “with our participation in this initiative, we are committed to alliances and joint work to address social challenges with new ideas oriented towards social action that has an impact at the global and local level”. In collaboration with municipalities, the Spanish Red Cross and other social entities, we promote programs that respond to these challenges, in line with our activity, seeking to improve the quality of life of citizens and especially of those “who need it most”.

For Francisco Galvanprovincial president of the Red Cross, “with these meetings we intend to highlight Social Responsibility, the challenges and the value of alliances between our organization, companies, the Administration and the different entities and associations of each municipality.” The president of the Red Cross of the province of Alicante also highlighted the gratitude for the solidarity and social commitment of the partner entities and companies that already collaborate with the Red Cross: “supermarkets that open their facilities in case of emergency such as DANA, transport companies that offer free transfer of goods and products, hotel companies that donate furniture and food products or companies that help with the placement of the unemployed, among others. “All of them are an example of a model of business collaboration that adds value to society at the local level.”
