Some trains that connect Madrid to the east of the country are experiencing delays
The high-speed trains that connect Madrid to eastern Spain were affected this Saturday by an “incident during a maneuver”, as reported by the Renfe account on its social network profile.
In the high-speed tunnel between Madrid Chamartín and Madrid Puerta de Atocha, an incident occurred early in the afternoon which delayed the movement of trains that connect Madrid to the east of the country.
Some trains end or begin their journey at Puerta de Atocha following the incident. Renfe recommends that those affected use Cercanías trains to connect to Chamartín station, but it does not offer more information on the routes that connect Madrid to Alicante or Valencia. Renfe did not provide details on the estimated time frame.
