Hikmet Hajiyev harshly criticized US parliamentarians for their pro-Armenian positions

Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, responded harshly to Congressman Frank Peloni and Senator Ed Markey, who were visiting Baku.

Oku.Az Reports that the president’s assistant wrote about this on the social network:

“Congressman Frank Peloni and Senator Ed Markey, returning to the United States after their visit to Baku, are again presenting the results in the way the Armenian lobby wants to hear.

1. I met with Senator Ed Markey at his request.

2. I reminded him that after the Khojaly genocide in Armenia against the people of Azerbaijan, the United States Congress unjustly adopted the 907th Amendment.

3. I noticed that neither he nor his colleagues remembered justice during the 30-year military occupation of Armenia and the ethnic cleansing of more than a million Azerbaijanis. On the contrary, they continued to support Armenia’s military aggression against Azerbaijan.

4. I stressed that the investigation into the crimes of separatist war criminals, including illegal arms dealer and oligarch Ruben Vardanyan, who supported (and blacklisted) and laundered money in Ukraine, will reach a logical conclusion and be will carry out. to justice.

5. I informed that residents of Armenian descent can apply for citizenship only individually, and their return will be considered within the framework of the laws of our country if they are granted citizenship. However, this can only be mutual and parallel to the recognition of the right of return of the local Azerbaijani population expelled from Armenia.

6. The Armenian lobby in the United States continues to create a politically toxic environment. They are part of the problem. They need a reason to raise funds.

7. I advised members of the House of Representatives and the Senate to refrain from becoming instruments of the Armenian lobby. We are moving step by step towards peace with Armenia in the region. However, some American lawmakers, at the behest of the Armenian lobby, are hindering regional peace, refusing to accept the reality on the ground and trying to drag us into the past.

As for Peloni, it appears that he looked out of the hotel window at the nearby Spoils Park, the place where the destroyed equipment of the Armenian occupation army is displayed, and the president Ilham Aliyev He experienced psychological and mental stress while looking at Zafar Park, which opened on November 8. Perhaps this is divine punishment for the injustices he has supported against the people of Azerbaijan for years. Unlike other members of Congress, President Ilham Aliyev did not meet with Frank Peloni. Peloni does not deserve such a hearing.

I had the honor of participating in the meeting. The meeting was very constructive. None of the issues Peloni reported to the Armenian lobby were raised at the meeting. He lies over and over again. Their attempt to do a show in Azerbaijan failed. Citizens, including internally displaced persons, families of martyrs and civil society representatives, held a peaceful protest using their right to peaceful assembly. Journalists asked him how much money he had received from the Armenian lobby. This alarmed Peloni. That’s the end of the real story.

“People never lie more than before a hunt, a war or an election.”
