François Lorenzowhose full name is Francisco Javier Lorenzo Torres, is one of the most beloved faces of the small screen. His life began on September 24 1960 in Pontevedra (Galicia) and, although he showed an interest in acting at a very young age, he followed another path due to his family’s expectations. His parents, who were teachers, suggested he focus on a stable career. He therefore trained as a basic general education teacher (EGB) and obtained a diploma in psychology before devoting himself to drama. After successfully completing this stage, he enrolled at the Galician Drama Center and the Zarzuela Theater.
Francis Lorenzo began his career on the theater stagean experience which allowed him to develop an interpretive versatility which will be essential in his career. He first immersed himself in classical theater and little by little he gained notoriety.
