Another person of the historical memory of the civil war, about criminals, is even less busy than the victims, at least in Galicia. Collective volume, I am terrifying Noman. Galiza 1936: Feerrationos, which never existedHe was almost a pioneer eight years ago. Now the historian Luis Lamel has devoted his last study to censor the performers of the phalangist repression in Galicia, the loops of the systematically structured method, and this was presented, according to the most accurate available data, which were transferred to the Nomes and Voices project, in the amount of 5000 lives in the community. 3233 In extrajudicial murders.
Clothing plots and repressors (In Gallego, Laiovento, 2025), subtitles Portraits and historical memory of Falanxistas GalegosBorn after more than 40 years of research and 13 published books. He explains this to Eldiario himself. His search led to such works as Repression of MAZONY VIGUSA (2008), He escaped from Monte Pindo Year Exile, passing Potu Illa de San Simon (2009) or The lot is two losers. The cause of the Entitranchist antifranchist in Galicia in Galicia (2023). “But I realized that there is not enough leg to meet with those who killed those who committed crimes,” he adds.
His new essay makes an important contribution. “Partial data, they are not all, but a good sample,” he says. In particular, more than a hundred leaders of the Spanish leaders and militants of the phalanx, with information extracted mainly from official files and a newspaper library. And the bibliography, which served primarily to draw the context. “If so far the researchers have not abandoned so many of the threads of repressors, I believe that it was out of fear of reactions and complaints,” he says, “I decided to adhere to the documentation. There is a lot of oral history, but I postponed it. ”
Three legs of fascist violence
And why did he focus on the phalangists? Lambel refers to three sectors that organized repressions after the Franco coup on July 18, 1936. The first, a military man who led him. ” “Their names are known, they appear in military councils and sentences.” The second, delegated by the army, consisted of the so -called forces of the Order, “especially the Civil Guard.” And the third, in several cases as auxiliary of Benemate, phalangists, militants of their native version of European fascism of the 30s. “Many phalangists have formed a series of groups aimed at performing dirty work,” says Lamel, “is submitted by the so -called invisible courts who acted in the civilian governments of the rebels and in which it was decided to eliminate physically unofficial.” Victims Walks or from the dawn brigades, who in Galicia also responded in the name of Sakas, Claudias or RaposasField
“The flow of phalangists took care of the most dirty work,” he writes in Clothing plots and repressors“The transformation of the militias of the phalanx into a paraly organ, which adopted the defense of public order, among other repressive tasks.” Anyone who was a small distant group founded in 1933 by Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera to conspire and violence against the Second Republic, joined the state leadership after the massacre of the republican democrats of war and the post -war period. It is combined with Jons and called the Spanish traditionalist of Falange, and Jons will become the only party of Franco -Dictature. By that time, some characters exhumed in the book of Luis Lamela fell out of favor in consistent internal disputes and the dedication of Spanish fascism.
“In the background,” says Lamela, “from higher cases, phalangists were often asked to perform repression. Some missed the instructions and uncontrolled, and even alfunos were punished. ” The fact that in any case did not find that the historian was repentance. He notes that for so many years he has been immersed in newspapers to understand the dead of this summer – repression in Galicia, was especially intense between August and December 36 – and never found “not a single voice that apologized for the damage caused.”
These are five names included in Clothing plots and repressorsField
Juan Barba Luis: from Lerororkism to the mountains “Clear”
Born in Khokora, in 1936 he was a neighbor of Vigo, where he worked as a technical employee of a telegraph. Lamel confirms that “there is no doubt” that he was involved in preparations for the blow on July 18. 23 years old, Manuel Hudille instructed to organize the phalanges of the city.
The historian saves the spelling of a beard, aimed at the dome of the phalangist in Madrid. “If on the first day I hadn’t stopped several career companions that some were shot, others had expelled, others were released and authorized (…), if I took responsibility for the city’s house, I wouldn’t grab the documents against many (…), and I would not have traveled around the mountains or make a cleaning that was done, I would not earn hatred and earned hatred and my hatred and I have earned and my hatred and my hatred and I have a hatred and I have a hatred care “. As soon as in July, he is accused of “immoral enterprises”, such as traffic of coins with Portugal or the sale of a car of the mayor of Fusalado de Vigo, Emilio Martinez Harridido, the organization excluded it. He read it four years later. Relations with the party remained tense from their economic activity.

A few weeks before the coup, he was held accountable for the attack on the Communists and fled to Portugal, from where he continued to conspire against the Second Republic. On July 19, he returned to Galicia to put himself in the service of a soldier raised in weapons, “providing services that should not be listed in the statement”, according to one of his writings restored by Luis Lamelia, who considers him attached to those who were called eupemic “cleaning, pacifation and control of the invitation”. The leader of the province of movement – in this way, also called the only party – accused him of “anti -field and intriguing” in July 1942 and dedicating himself to the spreading defeat ”and the secret organization of monarchical elements.”

The popular front of the illegal phalanx in the short period of his government and Fall Fernandez remained in prison until the Francian strike was inflicting. “From the first moments, he formulated the front line in the militias, shock absorbers, which intensively participated in“ cleaning, peacefulness and control, ”says Lamela. Reached the degree of preliminary ensign. The report of the Civil Guard, which the historian discovered in the general archive of the administration in Alkala -de -Heenares (Madrid), described this: “When declaring the state of war in this square, I take weapons next to the army against the Marxists, providing various weapons in cooperation with the Civil Guard, demonstrating great enthusiasm and high patriotic spirit at all times”. In November 1939, a gloomy courtship participated, which suffered the corpse of Primo -e -e -River de Alakante (Valencia) to Eskaguar (Madrid) -Paco Serda in his last book (Alfaguara, 2024). But in 1944, he fell out of benefit and was excluded by a disabled person. Lamel ignores the reasons. Fall Fernandez died in Coruna in 1981. He had several differences in the phalangist, and he received various military rewards.
Eduardo Patigno Perez: Eskirola shooter
Patinho Perez was born in Curtis (Korunya) in 1911, and also participated in the courting of the corpse of Primo -de River. This was the AA Prize of his participation in the phalangists: “First in the destabilization of the social and public order of the republican regime, and then in physical repressions in the back of Korunya.” But Patinho Perez did not belong to the aristocracy, nor to the small bourgeoisie, or the great owner: by profession, illiterate and unemployed, in 1934 he cursed in the strike in the Praeca Maria de Koruni. He made it with an armed gun, loaded and ready for shooting. He was arrested and sentenced to four months of prison, thanks to an amnesty decreed in rights in April 34, did not fulfill all the fine. He lived in the Falange store, in Rool Barrera. After the fascist uprising “he was part of the numerous services of the weapons of the Civil Guard.” Lamela clarifies, to which the useful “cleaning, peacefulness and control” belongs to the back: persecution, arrests, cleaning the library, removal of goods, extortion, closing of trade unions and political parties, arbitrary arrests, arrest WalksIn addition to assistance in the procession of River Primo, Patigno Peres received a position at the Coroña tobacco factory.
Jose Trillo Rodriguez: Secret activities against the republic, then the mayor
Trillo Rodriguez spent two and a half months in prison “For his secret activity against a legally established regime.” Born in Korkubion (Costa and Morta, Korunya) and the law that drunk from the University of Santiago was another of the phalangists proud of participating in “cleaning, peacefulness and control” of the rear part on the Costa -da -Mort. Soon he rose and in April 1938 he was appointed mayor of his hometown. This was another of those “selected phalangists” who suffered the remnants of Primo de Rivera Al Escorior, “Three Dozen of Very outstanding people in the persecution and repressions of the Republicans, left -wing and trade union figures.” But, like the other old shirts, it was soon disappointed, and the “disappointed and fraud” turned out to be distant – he doubts, by his own decision or by decision of the phalange – regime. He died in 1959 in Santiago -de Compostel.
