H&M carries out its ERE, with the support of the UGT and CCOO, after reducing the number of people concerned to 492

H&M has managed to move forward on the labor regulation file (ERE), which will ultimately concern 492 people, after the signatures of the UGT and the CCOO, as union sources informed Europa Press this Friday. Concretely, on October 17, union representatives signed the agreement for the collective dismissal process at H&M.

Thus, the two unions emphasize that this agreement was possible because the “priority” objectives that they had set for themselves were achieved, namely the minimization of the initial impact, vacant positions with more days than those initially offered by the company, as well as volunteering and “good” departure conditions from the company for those ultimately affected, thus avoiding “traumatic” departures.

The final terms proposed by the company to conclude the ERA negotiations include a reduction in its impact to 492 workers, from the 588 redundancies initially proposed, which it later managed to reduce to 521 until the final figure.

In the proposal, the company places compensation for the people concerned between 45 and 33 days per year worked with a limit of 24 monthly payments, which includes a seniority bonus. Concretely, this will be 2,500 euros for up to five years, 3,500 euros for up to 10 years and 4,500 euros for those who have been in the company for more than 10 years.

This also includes the possibility of exchange – change between the people concerned who wish to stay in the company and those who, voluntarily, without being concerned, wish to leave -, as well as a support and relocation plan which, in the In the case of people aged 50, it will have the duration they need until they move.

According to the UGT, this agreement represents a reduction in the initial impact of the collective dismissal proposed by the company and “sufficiently” improves the conditions for voluntary departure of H&M workers.
