The main objective, according to a press release, is the construction of a cloud computing infrastructure through a network of data centers decentralized and sustainable in Europe, known as YEXIO. The long term vision of this joint venture is to establish a network of sustainable and locally integrated data centers in different countries in Europe.
The first center in the YEXIO series will open its doors in Heiligen House by summer 2025. While there is land for two additional data centers, three new sites are planned to be acquired by the end of this year, with additional locations planned for 2025. The capacity will be two megawatts, but it can be extended to four.
